How we work

Translations of all types of documents and materials are produced by highly skilled professionals who are versed not only in language but in specific subjects. The whole process is completed electronically. You send us the job via E-mail or Fax (if it is an Internet home page to be translated, just send us the address and we will get it ourselves). A most suitable translator in the field will be picked from our database. Since we communicate with our translators via E-mail, the assignment will be received and the work started within a couple of hours upn receipt of your order. Upon completion the translation is always proof-read by an editor.

COST OF SERVICES

The first step is to determine the total number of words for translation. We always ask to see the complete document to obtain an accurate word count. Guessing is virtually impossible since a page may have from 200 words to 600 words. If you simply cannot let loose of your document, E-mail or Fax us representative pages along with a total number for each. (e.g. "There are 10 pages that look like this, 8 like this, 14 like this", etc.). However precise quantity of words could be determined only by computer, i. e. an electronic version of your material (a computer file) is highly welcomed.

Next we establish a rate per word of source language determined by variables such as language, type of document, degree of difficulty and terminology. Each language has a standard range. Total words in the document are multiplied by the rate per word to arrive at the translation price.

Some other factors should be taken into account

  • Complexity of the copy for translation. Highly technical descriptions are more difficult to translate than simple instructions. The more difficult the translation, the higher the price.
  • Size of the project. The rate per word for translation of a large document is less than a short document. Translators can "get up to speed" on large projects and the amount of co-ordination time decreases proportionally.
  • Minimum charges. Most translation companies have a set minimum charge per language. If you send a short blurb for translation into several languages, you may incur costs of USD 300 or more. Save yourself some money by grouping several of those short translation projects together.

After all of these factors are weighed, the price for the complete translation project is totalled and turnaround time is considered. If a project is required in shorter than our normal working time rush charges may be added. This additional charge covers necessary overtime.

Please note: allowing sufficient time for completion of the translation project eliminates the need for rush charges.

The rates as indicated below are the lowest possible rates for the given language group. We are firmly committed to satisfy your needs at the lowest possible price, but in some cases additional charges may have to be added to the basic rate.

Minimum charge for written work is USD 100. For all types of work over USD 200 a standard contract is required.

Rebates

  • For large translations (applied to translations of 10,000 words or about 25 pages and higher): 5%
  • For regular customers (applied to customers upon submission of more than 20,000 words or about 50 pages): 10%
  • For regular customers with large translations: 15%

As with most services, price is only part of the picture. The cheapest price is not always the best. The wise translation buyer knows that the best price for the highest quality translation is the ultimate goal. As the old cliche goes, you get what you pay for.
